Estimate Guide
What to Expect During a Painting Estimate
A clear, no-pressure guide to what happens from your first phone call to project scheduling.
How to Request an Estimate
You can request a free estimate by calling (843) 796-9547, filling out the form on our contact page, or using the estimate form on any service page. Please provide your name, phone number, project address, and a brief description of the work you are looking to have done.
What We May Inspect During the Visit
During your estimate visit, we may inspect the surfaces to be painted, assess their current condition, identify any repairs needed, evaluate access to work areas, and note any factors that affect the scope — such as existing coatings, texture, trim, or ceiling condition.
Color Selection
Colors do not need to be selected before you request an estimate. However, if you already know your colors, sharing that information helps us plan the right number of coats and materials. Ask us about color consultation if you would like guidance choosing colors — we can discuss what options are available.
Surface Condition and Repairs
The condition of your surfaces affects the scope and cost of the project. Damaged drywall, peeling paint, exposed primer, or structural repairs may require additional preparation. We assess these factors during the estimate and include any needed preparation in your written scope.
Photos and Project Information
Photos of the spaces you are considering can help us provide a more accurate estimate, especially when an in-person visit is not available right away. You can upload photos directly through the estimate form. The more detail you provide — square footage, number of rooms, or specific surfaces — the more accurate your quote may be.
Scheduling
Scheduling is discussed during or after your estimate. Project start dates depend on crew availability, weather conditions, the scope of work, and your preferred timeline. We work with you to find a start date that fits your needs.
What to Look for in the Written Estimate
A written estimate typically lists the surfaces to be painted, the number of coats, any preparation or repairs included, the paint and materials to be used, the projected timeline, and the total price. We encourage you to review it carefully and ask questions before approving any work.
